So our trip is rapidly ending. We are sitting around at our B&B and the owners let us have some of their Lemon Cello which was very strong. We are debating on whether to sleep or not because we have to get up at 3 to get to the airport for 4 because our flight is at 6 and we have to be there 2 hours early. Gonna be a short night for sleep. It’s more like a quick nap.
Anyways, the last two days were good. Yesterday we went to the daily farmers market in Nice. Though everything looked good we didn’t buy anything. The streets are so European there’s a picture shot around every corner. It’s the best. We walked around the city explored, took pictures, had lunch, and napped on the beach which oddly enough is at best small rocks. New England has way better sand. That night we drove to Antibes and ate at a place called Key West. It was awful burgers that almost made us feel like we were home, but walked away feeling gross. They don’t have it right. Either way we made the best of it and Aaron kept yelling “Parkour” as he ran up the walls on the way back to the car. (Check out the episode of the Office that references that if you haven’t seen it…) The city is awesome with all its little side streets. Feels like a video game but it’s real.
Today we woke up ate some croissants, jelly, and coffee. Then we drove toward Monaco to see the city and more importantly where IronMan 2 was partially filmed! We actually got to drive on the race track (which are just normal streets) where the Monaco Grand Prix races take place. It was an awesome city as well.
So that’s the quick version but here is a last blast of pictures and one video from the past 2 days. (If the pictures look really good then Matt probably took them) See you at home tomorrow night…
I checked your blog several times, then while filing bills, I checked one more time. Hooray! Lots of photos (Aaron - you look so dapper). That is quite the city despite the bad burgers. Thanks for your final post of the trip. Much appreciated here in CT where the 5 days of rain is finally ending. Have a safe and enjoyable flight home!
